Shops that run on Kioskify

Real shops, real kiosks. Here's how merchants use Kioskify to let customers shop and check out on their own.

A refillery with no checkout counter

Root + River Refillery Co. runs a fully self-service store. There's no staffed till. Customers pay at a kiosk the team built themselves, right next to the refillery station, and the store has taken more than 200 orders through it since July.

“We have a rather non-traditional business model. Our business is solely self-service, and the kiosk is a pivotal part of our brick-and-mortar operations.”

“Kioskify makes it simple for customers to check out independently without requiring an employee to assist, allowing your team to focus on service and providing a warm, inviting atmosphere.”

My Portuguese Market

A shop inside a plant nursery that runs itself

My Portuguese Market wanted a pop-up shop inside a local plant nursery that's open seven days a week, but couldn't hire someone full time to staff it. An iPad on the corner of the main table runs Kioskify, with a sign beside it that explains how to shop. Customers pick their items and pay on their own phone, from early morning until evening. Branded bags, tissue paper and ribbon sit nearby for anyone buying a gift. The shop has taken almost 150 orders since July.

“This kiosk was the only way our pop-up shop was possible.”

Tips for other shop owners

  • Put up a sign that explains how to shop, with contact details in case something goes wrong.
  • Mount a camera with a direct view of the kiosk. They call it "the honor system with a camera."
  • Keep the catalog clean. Categories on the left worked better for them than categories along the top.

“The ability to have a shop run itself has been instrumental.”

Divino

More wine than the shelves can hold

Divino runs its Kioskify kiosk at its Italian deli in New Zealand. The kiosk stands by the till, so customers can browse Divino's full wine range while they wait to pay. The deli doesn't need every bottle on display, and customers can read the tasting notes for each wine. More than 110 orders have come through the kiosk so far.

“A must-have in the shop to save time and upsell.”
